Last weekend I mentioned that we needed to paint the outside of our house. Well, it has been painted. Yep – that fast. The dance goes like this – Tuesday and Wednesday were spent calling paint companies trying to find some who would: 1) return my phone calls and 2) be able to paint the house within the next two weeks. The Lord led to me Master Painters who not only returned my phone call – but dropped by the house on Thursday to give me a quote. Friday they showed up a 5:30 am and knocked out the house by 11:30 am! (I will post pictures of the new color Monday)
Note: we were house sitting for a friend in Sweet, so we were not bothered by the 5:30 am paint crew.
The dance of life got more complex when we called the Property By Owner people to list our house (Property By Owner is a company that helps people sell their homes with out real estate agents). The deadline for listing a house in their July magazine had passed – but they allowed us to slide in at the last minute. Since the house was not painted yet (this was Thursday), we took a black and white photo to print in the magazine. Monday we will take some color shots (after the paint has set) to post online.
It is just amazing how everything is fitting together!!
One last bit of news – Wednesday through Friday we stayed at a friend’s house in Sweet while they were away and took care of their horses, chickens and dogs. It was wonderful! The peace and quiet of country life along with the joy of taking care of some animals – the country boy in me was coming out!! =D
